This scholarship, named in honor of Professor Winton Solberg (1922-2019) and funded through the generosity of the Solberg family, will be awarded to promising undergraduate students studying American history. The scholarship carries with it a $4,000 award. To be eligible, students should have completed at least one year of coursework at the U of I, have at least one year left to go in their undergraduate studies, and be a declared History major (and not have received the scholarship in a previous year).
