Matthew Filter is the economic development manager for the Durham County government. The below comments were obtained shortly after the completion of his undergraduate degree while he was the legislative assistant to U.S. Senator John McCain.

These skills have been invaluable to me as I’ve analyzed and crafted legislation for a senior member of the United States Senate, and I credit the history professors at Illinois for giving me the foundation to do so.”
