Biography

I am a scholar of 20th-century American and Soviet sports History, specifically focusing on the fencing history between these two nations. I received my B.A. in History with an honors co-major from Wayne State in 2021. While there, I fenced for the university's varsity fencing team for all four years of my undergraduate career, amassing 149 career wins. I was also a member of the Phi Alpha Theta history and Delta Phi Alpha German honors societies at Wayne State. I then got my M.A. from Purdue in 2023, where I studied history under Dr. Randy Roberts and coached Purdue's club fencing team. I also served as the first-year cohort representative and an at-large HGSA representative at Purdue.
