PhD Candidate
Biography
I am a PhD Candidate in Early U.S. History. I am interested in local environmental history, Native and settler approaches to farming, and the effects of the Public Land Survey System on the Midwest. My dissertation looks at Potawatomi communities' land use practices and how those practices shaped both local ecologies and settler-initiated removal conflicts.
